Pujols and Aaron are the only players with both 700 HR and 3,000 hits. Who will come close to that?
Pujols has a LOT of hits, he's 9th all time ahead of A Rod and Tony Gwynn and George Brett and Willie Mays

I'm not taking anything away from him but let's be real, the way those balls flew, the pitchers grooved them in there to him. This game was meaningless to the Dodgers. And that's exactly what they should have done!

Congrats to Albert, what a career...
The pitch for 699 didn’t look like it was grooved but 700 may have likely been a gift from his former team.

As his career comes to a close I just looked at his stats again...what is it about St Louis? His numbers this year at age 42 are better than any he had in LA (by OPS+). And that 2008-9 back to back season run was absurd.

Hope he gets to 700, only 6 away.

He wasn't too happy playing with the Halos, didn't help that they were always pretty much out of playoff contention at the all star break. He said playing with the Dodgers and being in meaningful games into October rejuvenated him and had he not played for the Dodgers he probably would've retired. I'm glad he didn't it was cool seeing him get to 700.

He's a good dude. and one of 4 players, Griffey, Jr, Vlad n Jim Thome being the other 3 who I believe didn't use PEDs even though they played in the thick of the era.

You can take away all of Aaron’s 755 HRs and he’d still have over 3,000 hits. That is amazing.
You can take away all of the Hit King's 160 HRs and he'd still have over 4,000 hits :D

#703 tonight with 2 RBI, passing Babe Ruth for 2nd all-time (2216). It looks like he has relaxed a little bit since he hit #700.

If he sticks around for 3 more seasons, he could catch and pass Bonds. We can dream........

Good call. And I know there are others, but I'm talking hitters with power. Miggy is another one.
Miggy is just a special player all around.

Dude wants to go out on top like Posey did. He's doing exactly the right thing.

IMO the only active player with more than a 1% chance at 700 home runs is Pete Alonso. Trout no longer has a realistic path to it.

He's gonna be a serious weapon for them in the playoffs., that they def were not execting as of July.

Giving the cards a 3rd bat that can turn the game around in 1 swing at anytime.
