Alaska Drive to Denali

My summer western road trip this year takes me to Alaska to get some photos of Denali. Almost four days from Montana. Much road work on the Alaska highway because of the ground shifting. Hope to get more photos as the clouds and rain clear.

Nice, we drove to Yellowstone a couple years ago. The drive through Montana on the way back was awesome through the Sawtooth mountains.

Always fly to Alaska though. Saw Denali from the ground. Could see it half the way from Fairbanks. What a beast of a mountain.

No quakes although some roads like routes 1 and 2 are so bad that with my car bouncing around I couldn’t tell the difference.

Finally, saw a grizzly the other day near Whitehorse. Camera wasn’t ready. Reached Fort Nelson after 1,400 miles in 3 days. All downhill from here.
