Is Saban doing penance? For the past two games, he has acted like it is a mortal sin to let the receivers run routes past the first down marker. When you go up against DB's that are excellent open field tacklers, you are seldom going to get the first down. What the fuck? Why can't we have the receivers pass the marker and then throw it? Sure the defence sometimes forces early throws, but not every fucking time!

Some, we need more open receivers down field. He is connecting on short passes, but they are not going for first downs. Saban needs to open the offense up in the second half and shoot for the endzone more.
