Why would I be worried about missed the playoffs? This team is playing with house money. Everyone expected them to hopefully hit .500 and 3rd in the division was the best case scenario. If they miss the playoffs the season will still be a major success.

Seattle's schedule is tough looking at it from the outside, but the Mariners have played teams like the Angels, A's, and Tigers very well this season. We have a winning record against all 3 teams.

The way the Mariners are playing right now compared to the A's, it's not a stretch. And Detroit sure took advantage of their easy schedule against Minnesota, didn't they?

Makes you wonder what the AL West would look like if the Rangers weren't the baseball equivalent of a Final Destination movie. Rangers pretty much lost what would have been their starting rotation. They were 29-28 earlier in the year. They're 22-53 and have been outscored by 131 runs since.

Ian Kinsler isn't pleased though. Rangers have won 50 more than he would have liked.
