With Texas losing while the Stros and Angels both won last night, we have a really interesting final 6 days. 2 games now separates the 3 teams with the season ending with a huge 4 game set as the Angels head to Texas

That's the funny thing - I feel like I should just be happy they're in given how long it's been but I feel like if they went one and done it would be such a huge disappointment. Conflicted.

And isn't Price leaving next year most likely? You never know when you will get another chance especially if Price signs elsewhere in the winter

I need them to win the AL west or miss the playoffs. I do not want to see them in a winner take all situation next week.

He's free agent this winter, but I'm more hopeful of re-signing him today than I was at the deadline.

Also, there are a fuck-ton of free agent pitchers available, the Jays have Buehrle's contract coming off the books, Stro is only likely to get better, ditto for Sanchez and Osuna, and Pillar's play has probably made Dalton Pompey expendable via trade. They also have Dosh for another 3 years, ditto for Revere, Martin's signed for another 4, Bautista and Edwin can both be let go after next season (I hope they keep Bautista, Edwin can go though), Tulo probably has another couple good years in him... anything can happen obviously but I'm confident this isn't a one-off.

Horrible time for the Rangers to have lost three in a row, including two to the 'Stros, a team we had previously dominated. Good news, at least potentially, is that the current 1.5 lead means we still control our own destiny.

Hamels and Gallardo get the ball next. Critical two games, before finishing the season with LAA coming in for four.

I would think your biggest fear would be facing the Jays in the LCS. Not sure about Yankee starting pitching in a 7-game series.

To me, both the Angels and Rangers are equally as dangerous. I don't know what the difference would be for the Yankees playing one or the other.

Yanks are making the LCS. I'm just hoping for a competitive ALDS

Angels are clearly more dangerous in a one game playoffs than the Stros or Twins. The comments I made had to do strictly with the 1 game playoffs.
