Nice to see him healthy and productive. Not sure I trust it, but he makes a huge difference with his defense alone. I figure he gets a lot of days off, regardless, but it would be great to see him have a healthy season.

I basically agree... This is a good problem to have.

It will be interesting to watch Jaren Duran, Cedanne Rafaella, Wilyer Abreu, David Hamilton, Trevor Story, Romy Gonzalez, (and Refsnyder & Yoshida)...
This is the roster crunch we spoke about over the Winter. They really have Campbell, Hamilton, Mayer(?) & Grissom(who looks like a bust) in the mix at 2B.

Then they have Abreu, Yoshida and Anthony in the outfield with Rafaela and Duran. They have a lot of moving pieces there, but I’m not sure how Anthony fits in without someone getting hurt. He and Abreu have always been redundant.

From the “Spring Training stats are meaningless” department….

Sean Newcomb for the Red Sox this Spring:

14.1 IP
0.63 ERA
13 Ks
3 BBs
.184 BAA

He might have a real shot at the rotation as a result…especially with Bello, Giolito and Crawford all out.
