The '82 team fired their manager.

I'm not betting on that happening to this edition.

Did any manager of the Yankees in the 80s make it more than 1 year?

Looking back at that '82 team, that was a big drop off from the late 70s.

Rick Cerone
John Mayberry
Willie Randolph
Graig Nettles
Roy Smalley (underrated)
Ken Griffey Sr
Jerry Mumphrey (that is an old forgotten player)
Dave Winfield
Oscar Gamble

With Dave Collins and Lou Piniella playing 100 games also.

And the late season debut of a LF/1B who wore #46 when he got called up.

Next season he switched to #23 and no one else has worn it since.

Unfortunately, there's no one on the horizon like that this time around.

I figured they'd get one of the wild cards and get bounced early. I did not see this complete train wreck coming.

Red Sox have an absolute gauntlet up coming. But gives them a chance to come for a WC spot.
Red Sox quickly showing that they are not up to it! They are completely outclassed by HOU. It doesn’t help when you are 2-30 with RISP(or whatever it is).

Most of the blame goes on Cashman, he built this shitshow......and then add in the clown running it on the field......
