The whole team plays like the bad part of the Bad News Bears. Go 2 for 3 in the first inning and only bring 3 batters up. A manager that hit a knuckle ball 20 years ago and is still living off it. And a pitcher that thinks the best place to leave a pitch is the middle of the plate.
Yep

Reports come out that his job on the line if they finish 4th or 5th in the division and he still thought it was a good idea to use Sevy lol
He only has 1 more year on his deal. He’s had 6 shots at it(mostly with really good teams) and he hasn’t been to a WS. It’s hard to look at him as much more than an underachiever at this point. His job absolutely SHOULD be on the line. Especially in that market.

What the fuck has happened to the Rays? After their great start they’ve fallen off, the O’s have overtaken them for the division lead, and the Rays have a losing record since the All Star Break. Obviously the Rays couldn’t keep up their amazing play in April all season, but they really seem to be struggling right now, they just lost 2 of 3 to the lousy Cards, it seems like their hitting is just not delivering like it should.

Few things.

Overrated out the gates. That part was pretty obvious with the gaudy record.

Starting pitching is shot. No McClanahan.

Like 7 guys on their offense were having outrageous career years the first few months. Water is finding its level on most of them.

Arozarena has been brutal lately

Both need to go…..
I agree 100%. But knowing the Yankees they may keep at least one of them around cause of all they both have brought this franchise. But it’s time to start over in the management department

The Rays, like the rest of the AL East, are an above average team. But truthfully, that’s all they are now, especially with their injuries.

Like the previous poster said, they played collectively out of their mind for the first few lo ths of the season, and now have regressed to the norm.
