I mentioned yesterday that the decision to sit Judge almost 100% came from above Boone’s head. I’m sure Boone wanted to play him.

The part that is hard to figure out is Boone letting his starter give up 7 runs in the first inning. The game was over at that point, so even Judge wouldn’t have helped. That slow hook on Severino is ALL on Boone.

Yeah kay said the same that the decision wasn't Boone at all. Kay made a solid point about the pinch hitting point though. Why not use judge as a pinch hitter in the 2nd or 3rd when higgy was up with the yanks down 5 and 2 on? 3 run home run there and its a 2 run game with plenty of baseball left. Even a 2 run double and its a new ball game
