No clue why they would bring back German against this team. Should have swapped him and Taillon

Alvarez never should have been thrown to with two outs and a base open......Idiotic move.....

Well that's it for the 'Stros in the regular season. Yanks drop 5 of 7, and one of those wins was a miracle comeback. They're going to need to figure out how to beat them, because I have zero doubt they'll be running into each other again in a few months.

How ‘bout them O’s!?!

I found this pretty surprising: they currently have five position players with 2+ WAR (Hays, Mullins, Urias, Mateo and Mancini. Mountcastle's been worth 1.6 wins and Rutschman's at 1.3 in just 46 games. DRS loves the Orioles defense (+40 rField and +52 DRS, tied for 2nd behind only the Yankees). Orioles non-pitchers are 8th in MLB in WAA. The pitchers are 11th.

Hell of a turnaround from last season. In fact, they're 6 wins away from matching last year's win total. Hyde deserves serious consideration for AL Manager of the Year.

I’m just happy they are playing good baseball midway through the summer. The last five years or so have been…….rough.

The AL BEast is better when there are no pushovers.

If Rutschman can come around at the plate, the O’s might actually “arrive” ahead of schedule.

If you told me pre-season that the O's would be only 3.5 games out of a playoff spot on July 22, I would have asked you for some of what you were smoking. :D

He's still doing fine. Catcher is a very weak position offensively right now and he has a 104 OPS+. His walk and strikeout rates look good, and he's making contact over 80% of the time.
