I think he's got to be added to the roster by tomorrow or they've got to release him, so we'll know soon enough.

Tauchman is not making the decision easy.

I had this wrong. If he wasn't added to the 40 man by last night, he could opt out. He hasn't been added, but I don't think he's opted out as of yet.

Their addiction to Gardner has really created this clusterfuck

I respect the leadership, etc. but that was Tauchmans role this season

Can't disagree, and I have a hunch we're going to get a whole lot more Gardner this season than advertised. Still a great glove and a pesky at bat, but there's nothing he can do nowadays that Tauchman can't. And if they waive Tauchman they're going to lose him in 2 seconds.

I already told you that Gardner was going to play more games in the OF than anyone else on the team(and I think you agreed). Tauchman was always the easy call here.

According to Andy Martino, Yanks are getting a bunch of offers for Tauchman-so they'll trade him before they cut him.

SNY's Andy Martino reports that the Yankees are "receiving trade interest" on outfielder Mike Tauchman.

Martino adds that the Yankees are "valuing him at his 2019 levels of production," not his poor 2020, so they won't simply give him away. The asking price could be "a controllable reliever or another piece of real value." Over the last two seasons combined, Tauchman has put up an .807 OPS with 13 homers and 12 steals in 130 games. He currently projects to serve as a reserve outfielder and bench bat for New York in 2021.

He will, and they will miss Tauchman as soon as Hicks joins Judge on the IL, or vice versa

I was all for the Bruce idea as a lefty alternative to Voight at 1st, just not at the expense of Tauchman

Devers Round 2 was graded as a D-

lol

my only Yankees Frazier and Montgomery as later rounders
Probably a little early on him, but that one won’t kill you. He should be a monster this year if he stays healthy. Also, those leagues are usually won in the later rounds and on the free agent wire anyway.

D- seems a bit extreme, regardless.

All the grades are based off of where they project guys vs where you take them, I’m sure you know

taking a guy 30 picks before their projections is as extreme as it gets I guess
