Pinstripe bump! LOL

In all seriousness, it would not shock me if he was juicing. He looks like a freaking pro wrestler for chrissakes.

See how easy that was?
Well I am definitely shocked to see that Yankees fans think Ortiz was juicing his whole career. I’d just love to hear a former player implicate him. Where was HIS Cousin Yuri?

Kinda like the story of an unknown 22nd round Cardinals prospect that never amounted to anything until the Cardinals dumped him in a trade at 27 for a reliever. The reliever they got back was a bust, but the prospect miraculously turned into one of the most feared sluggers in the MLB. And the Cards gave him away for next to no return! Crazy coincidence indeed.
Was that guy YOU?

He was a monster from 2003 until the day he retired. Do you really think he was juicing that whole time?

He couldn’t beat out Ron Coomer for a job in Minny so they traded him for scraps, and VWALLLAAAH

Best hitter in the world

And quietly Gallegos turned into St Louis closer while Shreve was the name in that deal

Common trend in sports that nice guys don’t get caught

there’s this 43 year old QB in the NFL that doesn’t age somehow and everyone buys it’s just because of his penis and avocado diet

That’s a bunch of nonsense. Look at his numbers in Minny the last year he was there. He was really good and just entering his prime.

How did he pass a zillion drug test from 2004 through the end of his career?

Andy Pettitte was a nice guy and he got caught. So was Chuck Knoblauch. Almost all of these guys are linked to shady trainers or clubhouse workers or shady organizations that were doing this stuff. Many of them were juicing together. I’d just love to see Ortiz named by one of them. That’s all.

He hits 58 HR over 6 seasons with the Twins, gets released

Gets signed by Boston in 2003, tests positive in that years' survey test, goes on to hit 483 HR over 14 seasons

I'm sure it's all just a crazy coincidence.

:noidea:

Not saying he didn't use (he probably did), but there's some missing context. Yes he hit 58 home runs, but he also only played 455 games in 6 seasons. He was also starting to demonstrate his power in his final two seasons (hit 49 doubles, 38 home runs and had a .234 ISO in his final 214 games in Minny). He also hit .309/.381/.532 throughout the minors (including his 1997 campaign where he slugged .568 and hit 31 home runs across A+, AA and AAA) and was the #86 prospect in 1998.

Voit: slugged .463 in minors with 67 home runs in 559 minor league games, hits 57 home runs in 213 games as a Yankee

But... Ortiz!

In all seriousness, I'm all for having every player roided up. Baseball is entertainment. Were people not entertained during the Sosa/McGwire race? Watching Barry break the all-time record? Clemens? I sure was.

And it's not like Cooperstown is full of upstanding citizens.

I can understand what you are saying, but it opens a bigger can of worms with kids trying to make it there by doing steroids at a much younger age and doing them simply to compete.....I’d prefer it to be clean if that is even possible......

Both juicers
I just want to see Doug Mientkiewicz with tears in his eyes talking about he used to administer the “belly shot” to Ortiz. Without some kind of first-hand corroboration, I can’t convict!

We will never know the truth about Big Papi, we can only deal in the facts and draw our own conclusions

- Twins thought he sucked, he became the most feared hitter on the planet 15 minutes later

- he failed the survey test and assured everyone he would get to the bottom of why, never another word. Much like Pettitte, the media let him mostly slide because he was a likeable guy

- his partner in crime during his Sox days was mostly Manny, who got outed as a user

Those are just the facts, opinions will vary based on cheering interest, but I think players have been suspected for far less IMO

GOOD Morning
