Kuechel would be a good pickup for New York. Their batting lineup is looking pretty good but they still need help at pitcher. Got to think Kecuhel would be that help.

= best line up to win a ring.

serevino gets opener, don't understand thought process behind that one unless its a wake up call to tanaka & gray.

no they don't. if the Yankees "need help at pitcher", then so do about 27 other teams.

Why would Houston give up on Kuechel.

they do have a plethora of options and a pretty stacked farm, though retaining some of those options over an AS-caliber pitcher in Keuchel wouldn't make much sense.

Pitching should be at the top of their needs right now and moving forward.....Keuchel is 30 and has ace stuff, but will hit free agency next year with Boras.....He'll demand some serious money and the Yanks can see how things shake out after this season....It could be nice adding an Amish player to the staff, I just hope he's as good as Ishmael Boorg was at bowling.....

Guessing you prefer Judge in the OF instead of Stanton

I didn't think it was that huge an adjustment going from right to left, but apparently it is. I really only want to see Gardner or Hicks over there once they're playing for real. Put Stanton in right once or twice a week and DH Judge, but no more LF for Stanton.

Yup, with the short fences to RF and RCF there is much less ground to cover....A lot more running around in LF and the LCF gaps....Have to be able to make catches on longer runs...Need to be way more athletic in YS...Could you imagine Reggie playing LF back in the day? Circus music would start playing on every ball hit near him.....

No doubt. My concern is how can a guy who played 8 years in the NL look so completely lost in the field? A guy who is/was rated better than adequate by most metrics?

Thank God for the DH.

I thought Stanton was a pretty good right fielder in Miami. He rates as an above average defender over his career (+51 rPM, +45 DRS, 28.2 UZR, 4.3 UZR/150).

While I do not put much faith in defensive metrics, I do watch a number of Marlins games and Stanton always looked like he was a decent fielder. Not Al Kaline good, but above average.
