Chavis sporting a .354/.466/.771 line right now after going 4-6 with a double and 2 home runs tonight. He's sporting a very respectable 9/14 BB/K ratio. Unfortunately, the SwStr%, BABIP and contact rate suggest considerable regression in the BA department. The power is legit though.

He's been their best pitcher to start the season, and it's not particularly close.

Rays win big over the D-Backs. Snell was brilliant, only giving up 1 hit through 6 innings. Avi Garcia hit a homer off of the Diamondbacks backup catcher.

Opener for the Rays tonight and Charlie Morton goes Wednesday afternoon.

People were worried about the Rays not playing anyone with a winning record in over a month. They silenced those critics with a 12-1 win last night. Yankees coming in this weekend should be fun.

I don’t think much needs to be silenced.

But I’m fairly confident by seasons end the Rays teams like the Red Sox will be much more impressive victories than the Dbacks

Problem is, a bunch of these guys are going to start coming back, and there's gonna be a serious roster crunch.

Urshela has no options, but they can't DFA him for someone like Tulo. Can't happen. Gonna be a few tricky decisions like that.
