You know dang well I was not a fan of how girardi coached . But, I have to defend him when it comes to the boot camp mentality. Both of us were in the cubs .org. Spring training was all about conditioning! Everything we did involved running, so much that we could not walk the next day! And we had to walk to facility which was 20 minutes away! Not even a bicycle was allowed!

Sometimes...being too much of a "player's" manager means you're not going to be a manager for long.

Granted, the 'Stros have only been in the AL for 6 years, but this is the first time they've ever swept the Yankees.

When Altuve is firing on all cylinders like he was this series, that is an extremely difficult team to beat.

I'd pitch him much more aggressively, they never move him off the plate, he looks too comfortable up there every at bat....I'm not saying throw at him, but make him have some happy feet once in a while....Also, Boone is a babbling fool in his interviews and his Kevin Bacon "all is well" attitude makes me sick.....
