I like it as long as we see the guy from the first half of last season..If so, a steal at the price...He hit a wall last year and hopefully he builds stamina moving forward....

And not for nothing, their willingness to do this is really an indication that they're not concerned at all with his second half.

Probably, yeah. Worth noting that it really only buys out his first year of FA. He'll still hit the open market south of 30 years old. Yanks will definitely save some $$$ on what he would've been awarded in arb, provided he doesn't completely shit the bed.
