Wonder if the MLB will change who the WC winner face if the Yanks win their WC game and we have the 2 best teams in baseball facing each other in a best of 5 series in the ALDS.

IMO it should go by record. The only thing is I won't give the WC team HFA even if they have a better record.

The ALDS should really look like this if the Yanks win the WC game.

AL West winner vs Yankees

If the A's win their game today, we will have 4 teams with 70+ wins in the AL and not a single team with 70 wins in the NL. Also if the Mariners hold on to beat Houston today, they would have more wins (69) than anyone in the NL as well lol

I remember this game. Red Sox score 14 in the first inning against the Marlins. Marlins use two pitchers in the first that don't record an out.

I agree, and I would give the WC homefield if they have the better record

The Yankees or anyone shouldn't be punished for being in a division with a team on a record winning pace, they are flat out better than every other team in the AL, without the 2 guys that are the heart and soul of the team
