he is slugging .526 with a 118 wRC+. ZiPS and Steamer project regression in the power department (his HR/FB rate is well above his career norm), but they also project a much higher OBP (.326 and .331 repsectively) and only a somewhat lower wRC+ (111-116)

A's could use some catching help, Lucroy's having a pretty lousy year. I don't know how much of an improvement Ramos will be defensively, but he should represent a pretty good upgrade even assuming his BABIP dips (.335 this year versus career .294)

Maybe, but Baltimore never wanted to trade him w/in the division anyway. Would've required a much better package than what they ended up getting from LA

I agree. Not happy with this at all. I guess he'll be used as a long reliever and a 6th starter if someone goes on the DL

His walk rate is not good, but I like his other peripherals. He keeps the ball on the ground, which should serve him well in his new home ballpark.

They need the depth. They still have rain outs to make up so there are few days off and it won't hurt to give Tanaka an extra day here and there. He always pitches well with an extra day. CC can probably also use an extra day here and there. Plus, you never know if someone will get hurt
