On this date 20 years ago, the Yankees beat Baltimore to run their record to 61-20, tied for best 81 game start in MLB history.

He appears to be on pace for 30+ this year while seeming to split time.

Wrong

and Wrong

He was never released

He will never hit 50+ Homeruns after being released

And he will never be released in favor of the equivelant of Ron Fucking Coomer

And as far as I know, he hasnt actually appeared on a list of cheaters

Other than that, same thing

lol at using triple crown stats. And even then, his .259 BA is above the league average (.246). He has a .354 OBP (league average is .317) and he's slugging .515 (league average is .407). He's also hitting .280/.348/.671 with 9 home runs over the last 28 days, but hey, bench him.

Oh yeah, and you're citing RBIs for a guy who's spent a decent chunk of the season batting #1 and has played 67 games.

"Decent Chunk" is the overstatement of the day

You have more fingers than he has games leading off this season, he has actually been batted in mostly run producing spots in the lineup this season

I believe that only applies to players whose names appeared as testing positive on the 2003 survey test, and subsequently stated that they were going to "get to the bottom of this" and "inform us all" only to remain quiet on the subject for the rest of their career, but perhaps I'm mistaken.

The Red Sox played 19 of their final 29 games on the road in 2016 and 30 of their last 45 on the road (including 3 cities in 4 days in late August). That didn't keep them from winning the division. Stop whining.

They also played the Reds in the middle of a September pennant race last year

They also just spent the entire month of April playing the Marlins and Orioles

And of course they finish the season at home vs the Yankees

He was traded for allstar John Ryan Murphy who the Twins held on to for one whole year before dumping. You think the Twins might have held on to Hicks if they knew he'd be hitting 30+ despite not being an every day starter. Seems like a no brainer.

Then again, players just seem to peak when they come to the Yankees. Must be the pinstripes.

He's completely an everyday player

You know who's not an everyday player on the same HR pace as Aaron Hicks, now on Arizona?

John Ryan Murphy

So what you're saying is the Twins don't know how to evaluate talent by giving up on guys that have some power?

Glad we can agree. I'm going to miss your periodic (albeit incorrect) references to Ron coomer during our papi discussions.

I remember that run by the Yankees in 1998. What a season that was, you know something else? They actually started 1998 1-4.

Nothing funnier than Cereal ignoring Big Papi being on a list of PED users, acting as if this is some sort of Dirt theory

Lineup (with Gleyber, not if his career is over) and BP for sure. Starting staff edge big time to the 98 squad

You have to remember this one from back in the day "they fixed a flaw in his swing and it's increased his power." ~ Rock ~
