Tigers purchased the contract of RHP Drew VerHagen from Triple-A Toledo.

VerHagen will make a spot start for the Tigers in the first half of Monday's doubleheader against the Yankees. The 27-year-old right-hander was designated for assignment by Detroit in late April after posting a 6.30 ERA over nine relief appearances. He is obviously a poor fantasy streaming option.
