Bird sits vs the LHP. He has a career .842 OPS against lefties, .908 OPS against lefty starters. Wake up Boone!

Agree, I think Frazier is the next chip Cash uses....I hope we are wrong, because I was looking forward to watching that bat in the Bronx for a good spell.....Unfortunately, the Yanks will need some arms to get deep into the playoffs.....

From what I hear they love Florial (Might not be spelling that right) and feel he'll be up in a year or 2 to play center so maybe Frazier is expendable or another team might be in love with Florial and he gets traded even though he's really young

I'm not going to kill Boone on this one. If you're going to keep Taylor it's to use him and if you're not going to use him against lefties why have him? Plus, Bird just came back and is fragile, giving him a day might not be a bad idea.

I hear you, but in my mind, Bird needs to be the everyday 1B. His splits show he should not be platooned, and he's not going to get into a groove playing 2 and then sitting 1.

Plus, not the worst idea in the world to let him see Keuchel, as he probably will be seeing him again in October.

And Austin's hitting a robust .158 this month. Probably ought to have been sent down instead of Torreyes.

It's also entirely possible that my Greg Bird man crush has made me somewhat irrational.

Can't disagree but I see the logic. Once Torreyes was sent down, which went over BADLY in the locker room, they kind of have to play Taylor in this situation or they'll really get roasted

You're right, I saw this coming

Austin doesn't look good against good lefties like Keuchel, hope he proves me wrong, but Bird was the move here

0-16 now

Please enough with the Tyler Austin experiment, we know what he is

This decision could cost them the game tonight

I have no idea how good Gleyber could be, just may be watching the beginning of real greatness, like one of the best in the game greatness

@DirtDirtDirt you know how we been bitching about the red sox schedule?

I decided to check how many games they played vs the 3 shitty teams in the division.

They played 30 games vs the O's Rays, and Jays.

Yanks played 14 games vs the same teams

lol

Its RIDICULOUS honestly.......That schedule had set them up to be 10 games up by June 1st

They havent played the World Champs, we faced them 7 times, that alone can be a big swing in the standings

40 wins at the end of May would be pretty sweet. 61-45 from here on out gets them to 100 wins.

Nice to see Eduardo getting his act together, hopefully Pomeranz can do the same.
