Gunnar Henderson just got the Armando Benitez treatment from some two bit reliever.

Drilled him right in the back between the numbers.

Didnt miss inside with poor control problems, just reared up and drilled him.

Now THAT is a bush league play.

The first hit batter - Gunnar - was intentional by the yankees, and thus a bush league embarrassment.

The second one was the exact kind of ball that Suarez had yesterday - one that got away from the yankee pitcher who has control problems with that pitch from time to time - and NOT intentional.

It really isnt that hard to understand for baseball fans who arent reactive shrieking drama queens who are prone to histrionics, which certainly cancels out a large portion of yankee fans.

gotta say, it's kinda refreshing to see the Rays suck for once. crazy to think they got 35.5 WAR from their position players last year and they've combined for just 3.5 this year. The Franco situation plays a sizeable role in that, but guys like Diaz/Arozarena/Ramirez/Josh Lowe have regressed and they also lost Raley. they've got only three hitters with an OPS+ north of 100 (Brandon Lowe, Rosario, Paredes). the rotation has been mostly healthy sans the major surgeries, but the downside is their pitching sucks

Been painfully obvious for a while now that the Yankees need to address the pen by the deadline. I miss Wandy

Several guys on the Rays had ridiculously good numbers last year that were way above what they would normally do. They’ve crashed back to earth this year as expected. I figured the Rays would be a bit better than they are but I’m not surprised they’ve had a big regression.
