I remember Andy Hawkins throwing the no-no and losing. I didn't remember it being 4-0. A lot of things in this documentary that I guess I just wanted to forget.

Watching a documentary on the 1990 Yankees. Yes we all knew about Dave Winfield and George Streinbrenner. Yes we all knew about Don Mattingly and George Streinbrenner contract disputes. Yes we all knew about Pascual Perez drug problems. Yes we all knew about Billy Martin talking about coming back to the Yankees, but dying in a car crash first.

WTH was going on with Luis Polona and Mel Hall? I had never heard about them.

That was all over the news here…..

Polonia was a Wander Franco situation if I remember correctly.

Hall was just a huge prick, and pretty universally disliked. He was allegedly brutal to young Bernie Williams.

They went into the way Mel Hall treated Bernie a little bit. Mel Hall is in prison as a sexual predator / ********* until 2060 and was laughing about the whole situation during his interview.

Nice to see Bernadino getting out of bases loaded, nobody out - one run lead in the 6th...

Bello gives up single & HBP - then Bernadino give up a walk to start the inning...

Strike out, grounder (out at plate), strike out - saves the game.

he's been such a a good pickup. I think he's over performing this year, but 2023 Bernardino is still useful.

He was lights out the first time the O’s came to town. He didnt pitch that badly tonight either…. just cant leave a hanging breaking ball up in the zone to Gunnar.

I didn't find last night's performance particularly problematic. 6 baserunners in 6 IP ain't bad... unfortunately, there were three on when he gave up that home run to Gunnar. My comment was more about his ERA and home run rate normalizing. I do think the 4.18 xFIP is more reflective of his pitching abilities than the 3.29 FIP, but that's still a pretty good pitcher either way.

man, I miss Casas. Watching Dominic Smith "hit" and "play 1B" is painful

I don’t know if we will ever see a Yankee team as good as the 90’s Yankees. They were like an all star team

I keep reading articles about the Sox and their records - and reasons why they are so mediocre...

https:// bleacherreport.com /articles/10122937 -red-soxs-biggest-red-flags-early-in-2024-season

(this link wouldn't post. just remove the spaces.)

None of them ever mention the teams they are playing... If the Red Sox want to improve, they simply need to beat good teams!

Boston is 18-7 (.720) against teams with records below .500

Boston is 10-21 (.323) against teams with wpct above .500
