Despite a blown lead by O'Day and an awful balk call, the O's found their balls and won it in extras. Thankfully Britton will be back Tuesday.

The Orioles were missing their all-world closer and it cost them.

Should have been 2 out of 3.
He hasnt blown a save in 2 years, so you never know. But, I would have liked the chances.

But, the patchwork closer by rotation system had to gack up a save sooner or later.
Not everyone can be a closer even if they are awesome 7th and 8th inning shutdown guys.

Two blown saves at Yankees stadium should accelerate the return of Britton. I hope.

They stranded 16 men on base, if you're putting this loss on Girardi than you are putting to rest any doubt that you have no understanding of the game of baseball.

I thought Bird getting hit on the elbow in the 10th, was a lost opportunity......Great spot for him against a righty to get that run home.......Castro has been great, but he is such a free swinger that you just never know what you will get......I like the fundamental hitter in that spot...And Cris Carter after Castro, just never stood a chance....I cant imagine Carter survives the season with this team....Watching his AB's, now i understand how the NL HR leader couldnt find a job this winter

I didn't like Carter in that spot either, I was thinking Romine or Torreyes.

Oh well, can't win em all, but this team will win most of them.

don't take my word for it, for what i say about girardi's moves, line ups etc... just listen to the commentators!
every game i watch, they question his decisions, everyone ! its so obvious, they can't even fire one for which years ago they would have cause you never questioned a coaches decision on aire, there is just too many of them doing it!


last game alone they questioned him for betances coming in the 7th when he should have come in the 6th... they questioned putting mitchell at 1st base... i mean are you f n kidding me with that decision, and what happened, first play goes right to him? man, its laughable his little league decisions!!!! don't waste my time with your nonsense.... stick to what YOU think you know about the game!
