watched it again after reading new rules, still i see bautista really did nothing wrong, his slide was a little late over bag, he did not roll over, he actually made NO contact, cannot attack someone for an agressive slide.

odor should be suspended 10 games at least for the sucker punch

Barrett was a straight shot to AJ's face
Ryan had Ventura in a headlock while he repeatedly pounded on his head.
Varitek was kinda a bitchslap
Brett and Nettles both got in a few good shots

And I forgot the DBacks Dodgers brawl a few years ago. I am certain there were a few good shots taken in that one.

Going back to my first post on this subject. I do not think that what Odor did has any place in baseball, but it is not the first time it happened or the last.

ryan gave nuggies to venturas head, brett & nettles i am going to look that one up, 2 of the toughest ever in game... varatek never took of mask, those 2 were doing the waltz , never saw AJ get hit, i like aj's game but prob 1 of the biggest DB's in history of game

wow just watched the nettles/ brett fight, wow that was some round house that was thrown by brett, but no connection.. here's the deal that nobody even mentioned.. BTW, it was nice hearing rizzuto's voice, but holy smokes.. neither player was ejected, AND, if you watch it again, brett left bag while there was no time out nettles had the ball, he should have been called out... CONSPIRACY?

If you watch Odor he's got a fist ready as soon as the shove is over. The closest I see Baustista bringing his right towards Odor is as Odor's sucker punch is landing. I'm no fan of Baustista but Romeo's pure homerish is comical.

you cannot throw a punch on what you perceive as an intent to hurt, leave that up to the league, thats why they have a disciplinary board.. can't take it into your own hands or fists in this matter. i rest my case!

Well the stories I've read so far are pointing fingers at Odor, I think my eyes are fine. Tell you what let's agree to disagree then when MLB slams the Hanmer down, you can say you were wrong. Deal?

again, bautista made no contact, bautista's mental state clearly was not the same as odor's cause if it was bautista would have put him in mezzanine level. And, not looking at this as if it wasn't a sucker punch is laughable
