if i had a nickle for every post, from of fan of any team, from anyone of these boards who blamed the hitting coach, i would, well, you know! hey, tony oliva was our hitting coach, and what did he do for me or anyone else in the org.? nothing!!! ba hitting coach is a spot to fill, and then its up to the ex player or whomever it is to learn each players mechanics/ approach to hitting...and if a hitter gets in a rut, and pending on who it is, he kisses your arse for awhile to get you back on track....
