The Orioles keep on winning, 10 and 4 now and 3.5 games up on Toronto, Boston and Tampa. Not bad for a team most had finishing last in the East this year.

They have the most wins in the entire American league since 2012, and 3rd most in all of baseball since 2012.
I am not sure why people thought Baltimore wasn't capable of winning games with this core.
All this core does is win and be competitive under Showalter from day one.

They are flawed n doubt, but they have a lot of positives as well to balance it.

Their starters are below average. They are slow on the base paths. They strikeout a lot.
But, they hit homeruns, play great defense, have an incredible bullpen, and have Buck Showalter.

maybe it's because they were projected to have one of the worst rotations in MLB? Their starters currently have adjusted ERAs of 86 (Tillman), 103 (Jimenez), 68 (Gallardo), Wright (67), and Worley (76). Getting Gausman will help, but only so much.

The Orioles are hitting, which was to be expected. But they're not going to hit .285/.352/.510 over the entire season. Trumbo isn't going to hit .370 in a season. I do think Schoop can hit 25+ home runs though, and Hardy isn't that far removed from being a 3+ WAR player. They'll hit, but it's hard to be high on that rotation.

Colabello suspended 80 games for violating drug policy. Worst use of steroids ever? The guy was 2 for 29 and completely worthless so far this year. Could end up being a benefit for the Jays getting him out of the lineup.
He got busted in Spring Training.

He might've been the most obvious case of steroid usage ever given his power surge last year and how useless he was without them this month haha

Offense decided not to show up for Tanaka today.

7 IP and 2 runs allowed....Somehow he's on the losing end of the stick right now

I'd say Bonds was a bit more obvious :)

He had a career best in HRs but wasn't really a surge. He had a lot more ABs than he did the past few years before that. He's playing the accident card, but not sure I'm buying.
