27 consecutive shutout innings vs the Yankees

Needed this shutdown pitching to keep the Bronx Bombers back a bit

Lets get the sweep tomorrow boys.

Gausman has owned the skanks this year. 5 starts, 33IP and only 3 ER.

Has any one team ever shut the Yankees out in 4 consecutive games?

This game is so weird. At times it seems the Orioles cannot record an out vs NY just a week ago....now they look like Walter Johnson and Sandy Koufax.

Tomorrow is the Yankees season. Win tomorrow and we're just 3.5 heading home for a 10 game homestand. If we lose, there is no coming back from 5.5 deficit with about a month to go

can't just sit back with arms folded, and not have some kind of idea to steal a run here and there when your offense is struggling. GEEZ, name 1 time, just 1, and i'll give you as any year you can think of where geefartee stole a game with something creative?

Toronto and Boston are now tied, looks like they're playing the weekend, may decide the division.

Yanks put a end to that with a 3 run first today

Nice win. Season is not dead yet. 10 game home stand. 7 this week vs Toronto and Tampa. Really need to shoot for 5-2 and see where we stand next week at this time. Very helpful that Baltimore is going on a 9 game road trip as we begin our 10 game home stand.

Detroit should cruise easily to the second Wildcard.

They have the easiest remaining schedule in all of baseball.

They have a ton of game left with ATLANTA and MINNESOTA who represent last place in both leagues

The AL East is only getting two teams

Yep said this forever. That is the difference in playing in the AL East and playing in a shit division like the AL Central

Frustrating loss today. Lose 1-0 on an error after Eduardo Rodriguez had a no-hitter bid into the 8th inning.

Sox haven't gotten blown out very often this year, which I'd consider a good sign. But it doesn't take any frustration out of one-run losses.

Red Sox relievers have a 12.42 ERA in high leverage situations this year. It'd be one thing if it was an ERA around 5-6. That's bad. But 12+???

lol, keep thinkin this team has a chance with a little league coach and end of year bring ups, that they will do anything vs teams with vet players and good coaching... now thats stupid!

Who cares? The fact that they're still in the race in September when they basically waved the white flag at the end of July is impressive enough. Ask any logical Yankees fan if they expected the Yankees to be within 3 losses of a WC spot after trading away Chapman, Miller, and Beltran in July. The answer would be no. I expected them to be 10 game out at this point. You're bitching about a team who has no business being in the middle of a playoffs race

you obviously do! Do you honestly believe a team with a 200mill. payroll with no significant injuries should have ever been out of race? Do me a favor and ask any FAN other then a yankee fan that same question, and what do you think their response would be? I can't believe how naive. This whole year sucked again, and there is a common denominator, dayoffgerrardee!
