sharks...playing softer western team..
as for boston. ever seen a dirty as a team as this?

it will be so sweet when we LUCK OUT and knock them out..even with out zeterberg.
jimmy the wall howard will tighten it up. and when we get home ice....ass whipping time!

lol the Sharks are playing in the Beast conference and looking great doing it. So much depth and speed the Kings d can't keep up. Then the forecheck...o man.

Still, winning in LA is near impossible for the Sharks these days.

Wild with a HUGE win. What a goal by Grandlund. They dominated that game, had to win it.

Escobar with a WRC+ of 127 so far, awesome considering he was at 49 last year. Awesome until you see where Butler and Moustakas are at right now...

What the fuck!!!!!

I didn't know I could have had one of my 3 DL players on the DL of my lineup. I don't know shit about fanasty. I could have had an extra pitcher this whole time!!!

Wow and I'm still in second plce. Think about if I knew how the fuck to play!!! Then my baseball knowledge would turn this into a run away!!

Not me.....

Well, after seeing the Tigers beat up on Sale's replacement for 3 innings, I guess I agree with you, Cleaves!

I'm guessing this Leesman guy who replaced Sale isn't long for the major leagues. Even Avila has two hits off him.

Pitching (Cle):
C. Lee

For a second, I thought Cliff Lee was with the Indians again.

I wouldn't be surprised if this year marks the beginning of his decline phase. That's not to say his numbers are gonna end up anywhere remotely close to what they are currently are. Maybe somewhere in the neighborhood of .320/.400/.570 (which is still great).

Hope I'm wrong and he keeps hitting for a long time. One of the best hitters of my lifetime for sure and a very fun player to watch.

You're probably right. I should just look, but would that decline also be a "return" to his numbers pre-Prince? I don't remember what his statline was exactly with Boesch hitting behind him.

I'm guessing you meant 2010, since Boesch spent a lot more time batting in front of Miggy than behind in 2011. He batted .328/.420/.622 with a 178 OPS+ (led AL).

You know, I think I just let myself forget BB hit that high in the order. (Why Jimmy Smokes ever decided he should hit in the two hole, I'll never know.) I was only thinking of Boesch in the middle. But after Martinez came in that changed.

The Red Wings have scored 2 goals in three games. Quite frankly, fortunate that Howard had a great Game 1 and kept the Bruins off the board, or they'd be looking at a 3-0 series deficit.

The youngsters are overmatched this season, but it's a plus that they've gotten so much PT (out of necessity, due to all the injuries). Getting some vets back next year with the added experience of the young players will make the Wings more of a contender in '14-'15.

Agreed. Defense was a sore spot last season, and it only got worse with the retirement of Lidstrom.
