When has that happened? Honestly, I can't think of a single spectacular catch from that slouch. Given where he was drafted, and how long he held out, he should be making spectacular catches two or three times a game. His production suggests he was drafted several rounds too early. His attitude and work ethic are...

...I'll leave that one alone.

You have no idea how funny your response is - When I wrote my post I knew of the Bengals and the Bears catch, although statistically neither were a catch, technically they were and both were pretty damn good. However, those were the ONLY two I could think of. So, if I'm being honest Warty, I cannot think of a single recorded spectacular catch made by Crabtree.

I'm envisioning us in a jumbo set, then subbin' the bigs and going 3 wide shotgun with James in the backfield to one back 2 TE on consecutive plays and running them with 15 seconds on the play clock. The defense will barely be able to get their playcalls in, no time for adjustments, utter confusion, mooohahahahahaha!

There's a rule, I think it was put in as a response to the Manning Colts, that says if the offense makes an subs the defense has to given time to counter. The officials will not put the ball in play until the defense is ready.

How about the one in Seattle last year?

I remember that, but I'm not sure about the specifics. How long does the defense get, there has to be some sort of limit? But yeah, giving them the chance to sub and get organized is a bit of a downer.

good! one step at a time and this one is surely a big step.

we read a lot about how he can be jammed at the line, how he fell a lot? so i'm sure opponents will 'jam' him at the LOS.

whats good is he doesn't need to be "a #1 WR" this season. hopefully, by end of this season he can deal with that better?

He does look fast but the poor route on the should-have been TD-throw by Johnson as well as a number of drops worry me. I think he can be taught concentration and route running though.
I like a little bit of what I've seen of him. I hated the pick when it happened but now I'm getting toward thinking he has possibilities. We'll see. Since Manningham has continued his invisible man routine, they might just need him when all is said and done. I wish they'd give Owusu a shot but I expect he'll be a numbers victim.
