I really wish Green had played the rest of the 1st game.

It definitely made the job a little easier with him on the sidelines. Still, they had a chance there at the end, Dalton just didn't make smart decisions in the fourth quarter.

I'm sure turnovers will be key, once again, this Sunday

What is amazing to me is....it's week 12 and it took til just now for someone to realize that Simpson isn't a good WR?

I mean...I think we've ALL know this for awhile now, no?

Writing off Simpson would be stupid. yeah, he misses some easy ones but that's plagued alot of great WR's (think TO in his prime or Micheal Irvin). Not saying he's the next TO but CLEARLY he's got the skills to be a very good WR. On certain weeks he's been huge. The week that AJ missed SImpson stepped up in a big way. Nobody game him props for it but he had a monster game. The last couple weeks of last season he was probably (statisitcally at least) the best WR in the NFL. I betcha statistically Simpson is far better than some of the WR's that people want to replace him with. Plus, the guy is really good as a blocking WR and doesnt seem to have an issue contributingt there. Actually he's alot more physical of a WR than I thought he'd be. He moight drop some of them but he will go over the middle in traffic and fight for the ball.

The fly in the ointment here is that Simpson could still be in hot water regarding the drug case. At this point, no charges have been made yet, but they could still be building a case.

yeah, I dont know enough about protocal for situations like that..but it would make no sense that he got off scott free. Especially considering that state lines were crossed. Dumb guy. Talented WR though.

Somebody mentioned this on Twitter yesterday. The response was something like, it could be bigger than just a drug case against Simpson, as in a case being made against whoever sent them or the supplier.

Simpson isn't going to jail. He will be a Bengal next year. He is just a small fish that will give them some sort of info and be on his way.

I have no doubt that Simpson will plea bargain and sell out the folks from California..... Better to be a snitch and cover your own ass. But, to do so he'll likely have to admit some level of guilt. Then it is all up to Roger Goodell. The fact that Simpson has never been in trouble will help him here.

He might get a few game suspension, I'm figuring 2-4.

I could live with him missing 2-4 games. Plus, all this might work to the Bengals advantage when trying to resign him.
