That is amazing news in my opinion! I know everybody says that Manning is all we need but just from interviews and watching the team this year Gase has helped shape this offense big time. If nothing else he has added an extra element of aggressiveness that wasn't present last year. Look at last year in the divisional round as a great example...On 3rd and 7 late in the game instead of putting the ball in Peyton's hand to win the game McCoy chose to run it to run out the clock and the Broncos lose. This year Gase puts the ball in Peyton's hand on 3rd and 17 and doesn't just call a screen pass but actually calls some deep routes to pick up the 1st down and put the game away for good.

And you could actually hear the positive vibe sucked out of the thread as the energy vampire descended on it and torpedoes it with a negative comment.

I feel sorry for anyone who has to be spend any length of time around you, dude.

I have never seen anyone so negative about everything in my life.

He has every right to and wouldn't blame him if he did. Now having said that his agent has spoken how he and Gase both feel another year with the Broncos would be important for him to learn as much as he can before becoming a head coach. Usually if the agent is even saying he is staying it means he stays. But like you said he can change his mind.

Gase's first priority is winning the SB. That is why he hasn't gone for any interviews. He's also thinking ahead, and looking at what's available now, vs. what may be available later. Could be he wants to bide his time, gain more experience, and wait for a better opportunity. Right now I'd be afraid of the Browns job, and he may be leary to. Looks like he's playing it smart instead of just grabbing the first opportunity that presents itself.

Come on guys no reason to get snippy. Obviously Gase has taken the "Loyalty" route with Denver in the midst of SB contention but lets be honest here... Your in the busz to someday get that opportunity to be a head coach. It`s their goal. Unless you have the mentality of contentment to just make a payck( your not gona last long) most are driven for that opportunity. I think Gase will get Browns job and if he does...kudos to him. Now days, except for Belicheck ( he`s like old school Lombardi,Saban,Brown, etc. Those days are over. You have 3 yrs tops to win,and if not...SEEYA! Your lucky in any coaching capacity to make it more than 3rs if your losing. Welcome to today and the coaching carousel my friends. I mean look at how many college coaches their looking at now to try and figure way to get over the hump and inspire?. It`s friggin crazy. Some guys like a Cremmel or Mc dusch, etc have figured out their not suited for the big boy pants and will be happy being a "co-star" on their team. Kinda like Orton being a "quality" back up by NFL standards:)IMO Bros and KICK BUTT DENVER!!

Right on the money. Another year of offensive performance like the one we've had this year, and he'll be in even higher demand after next season. You also have to consider that the most likely opportunity for him would be going to Cleveland; which has run through several head coaches the past 5 years, and doesn't seem to have a clue as far as who they are on offense. They do have a nice defense they've put together over there though.

Gase staying in Denver another year can only increase the number of opportunities he's going to get in the future.

Adam Gase will be back next year! He has officially dropped out of the race for the head coaching job with the Browns.

I will say the more I looked at the opportunity in Cleveland the more I actually thought it wasn't the worst place he could have gone. They do have some major power in the upcoming draft, a decent defense, a pretty good OL, and some quality skill players. Mostly just need a QB, RB, another good receiver and they could make some noise.

Now having said that this is Cleveland we are talking about which is the dump of a town when it comes to actual sports success. You almost just start to feel bad for them but hey somebody has to have that title.

Kinda makes me think Manning must have assured him he`s def going to comeback for at least 1 more yr, SB victory or not. Unless of course he thinks, even if Manning does retire, I have confidence in OZ or Dice to get us to promised land again. Pretty sure its not the latter. Then again, maybe he just doesn`t feel he`s ready for HC job just yet.

I don't think the front office of that organization is the greatest. I see them similar to the raiders. They are going to make terrible personnel choices and fire coaches after a single season.

I think you get 2 chances at being a HC normally; you don't want to waste one on an organization that is a match away from becoming a dumpster fire.

The ownership and FO seems to be the issue there. No one wants to work for them.

Oh I agree. There is a reason guys are turning down this job. Head Coaching even for the worst team in the league is usually considered a major honor so the fact that these guys are turning it down should be an indication of the state of the FO. Kind of reminds me of the Raiders where they were firing guys every year and after a while nobody wanted to go there. They had to scrape what they could from the bottom of the barrel.

Honestly what I see is when Manning decides to hang it up there is a chance Fox could decide to hang it up especially say we win the Super Bowl this year and next like we did when Elway retired. He is getting up in age and with his heart surgery I could see his wife pushing a little more for retirement. This then could lead to a nice battle between Del Rio and Gase for the head coaching job. Now of course that is major speculation with nothing to really base it on.
