That's ridiculous. You guys fill up Wallace Wade, you don't fill up Kenan. You bring more fans than most but we're not on Duke and Wakes level. Unlike some schools we don't need opposing fan bases to help drive attendance.

As long as UNC doesn't give up a home game i am all for it. Otherwise, i don't have a problem with it. The big problem will probably be convincing a team to give up a home game to play in Europe. That's a pretty big hit on the local economy.

Sure, we don't sell out but we have much better attendance than some of the ACC schools and we don't rely on opposing teams the way Duke does. UNC isn't a football school like VT and NC State, but we still have decent attendance numbers. We've never been half filled for quality games.

Yeah, I would imagine the only way Duke or Wake would give it up is if they're playing someone like Boston College. That's not the kind of game you want going on in Europe because it's not good for the conferences image. haha

2. When I went to the night game 3 years ago, they were 1/3 full at the beginning of the game, maxed to about half full and by the end of the third it was empty except for Hokie fans. That was a big game too....and I realize it turned out to be a bit of a blowout but it was never out of hand.

I have a hard time believing that. I was at the game, the only game in recent memory i can remember being half full was the Idaho game this year in pouring rain. VT, Miami, FSU, Clemson, NC State, ECU, etc. usually get us a good crowd. Obviously, like any sport and any team the better we're doing and the more important the game the more people will show up.

It doesn't look like a bunch of VT fans and empty bleachers to me...

Also, the first 5 rows, and the entire section in the endzone, are the ones opposing fans get. So, in pictures and on television to an extent it will look like the opposing team has a ton of fans. But, the bleachers are built so far from the field that you can't see above the players on the sidelines.
