Yep. He was born in Wilmington and graduated at New Hanover High School. Duke Class of 1956. He also won the Orange Bowl in 1955 when Duke beat Nebraska.

After that great performance against TAM, I don't think many people are going to be asking that question anymore. Sure had Johnny Football shaking in his shoes. Just wish the ball had bounced Duke's way at the end. Oh well. Great game anyway.

Sonny was a tough guy. Back then guys played tough, none of this QBs wearing skirts and sliding crap. My favorites were Unitas and Morrall. Real men.

BC is gonna be 6-14 after this game... with 2 wins over VT

Just can the season and start looking forward to football. Probably better for your heart than all the stress of having a terrible BB season in the ACC brings.

Just turn it off and forget about it. Or you could always be the premier ACC bandwagon fan like me and root for everybody else? Nah, probably not, most VT guys don't have that in 'em.

Of course, it turned out how I'd hoped, but as difficult as it is for me to admit, those damn Dookies did play one helluva game.

I know they can be deadly from 3-point-land, but to have 45 of their points come from behind the arc??? Yes, they tried for a whole shitload, but still.
