Wisconsin is a VERY different team this year. This year's Wisconsin team plays a more guard-oriented fast-paced offense. Overall, their offensive weapons are much better than last year and they are a better FT shooting team. Then again, you can thank Ryan Evans being a 38% FT shooter last year that crippled the offense and he was the most fouled player on the Badgers roster. Even the other guys they lost from last year's team were not good offensively.

Honestly, even as a Badger fan, I am amazed at how much different this team is from last year. It's like night and day.

We're not really playing fast-paced at all....I believe we're still in the bottom 20 for possessions/game. Probably still relatively fast-paced for Bo though hah.

What I mean by that is we're much more willing to get out in transition. In years prior, usually we'd just bring it up slow and run the 30 second swing offense. This year, it seems like we're much more willing to push it in transition and if its not there, then run the offense. I remember last year we wouldn't even try and get into transition.

Yeah I get what you're saying....but even with all that, we're still a grind 'em out team.

Been a good, clean, well-defensed game in the Wisconsin-Virginia game so far. 19-15 Badgers with about 3:30 to go in the half.

Upgraded players but same old garbage offensive system for the Badgers. Pass the rock around the perimeter then the PG faces a double team and chucks a garbage shot at the buzzer. Thankfully Virginia hasn't had a FG in 10 minutes.

Michigan - ugh...might be advised to dump pretensions and work hard for mediocrity.

Sheeeeeeet, that's a bit harsh. Michigan is the 11th youngest team in the land. Two losses against two top 20 teams, in hostile environments, and a last second loss to a decent Charlotte team, in tourney play. Not to mention it's early December and Michigan is nursing a couple of minor injuries, getting McGary back to form, and gaining much needed experience for the freshmen. Far from elite currently, but Michigan will be a solid top 25 team heading into March.

I did expect GR3 to be more aggressive and Walton to take charge by now. However, when they're clicking and shooting well, Michigan can run most everyone out of the gym. Stauskas and LeVert have been the offense but I do expect McGary, GR3, Walton and Irvin to contribute much more as the season progresses.

Maryland is pretty terrible this year. This was an odd matchup IMO. Usually they try to keep the games competitive.

So Bo calls a TO for that??? The PG dribbles the ball for 25 seconds then dribbles off his foot. No ball movement, no anything. Bo is hindering the potential of this team.

It was funny to read about the ACC "dominance" so far on ESPN today... LOL. ALL the home teams won. First conference to win a road game is going to have the lead in this thing IMO. Holding serve so far through yesterday.

Ya in hindsight Cuse/OSU and Indiana/Maryland would have been better matchups

Badgers up 25-20 at the half. It's about the sort of game I expected it to be. First to 60 wins (if it even gets that high).

I thought the same thing as well. Four ACC teams had home games last night. Should we not be surprised the ACC teams have been holding serve on their home court?

For sure. 100%. Even the Pitt/PSU matchup was weird IMO. I know they wanted all the "new" ACC teams to particiapte though so Im sure that explains it.

Yeah...the ACC is going to struggle tonight. And agree, the home court advantage means a lot.

For sure. Really Illinois is the only disappointment for me so far blowing that big late lead but the Illini are a mystery. When a transfer from DRAKE ( LOL ) is your best player how good can you really be???

You would think Illinois could just dominate every year with Chicago kids.
