About to SIGN- K'Waun Williams, CB, 49ers

Will be our 3rd 49er FA signed. Pretty solid signing here. 2 yr 7 m... Dependable guy. Physical, tackles well and reliable. Also feel gives Ojemudia a chance to compete with him for that 3rd CB spot and our CB's never stay healthy anyway best to have 5 good one's.

Decent nickel corner, but Callahan is better IMO if healthy and Williams battled some injuries last year as well but doesn't have as long of an injury history so this is probably a pretty good signing. Williams is in his 30's though which can have a sharp fall off for CB's.

He’s the same age as Bryce and so I’d say it’s worth it.

I think the biggest difference to me with Williams vs Callahan is the physical style Williams has and durability. Callahan has been great in coverage for us but he has missed significant time for all 3 seasons he has been here.

What I like about Williams is he is a Nickel back with a physical style who is also enthusiastic about stopping the run. I like this piece of the puzzle.
