Appeared he was benched the second half of the Donks game, and Kenbrell came in and it helped step things up. Any of you beside ( JDM ) think the Pats are growing weary of Dobsons inability to adapt to the Pro game? Or is there some other issue at hand here?

The after half game plan called for mostly dink and dunk. Tomkins is better suited for that. Everyone is reading too much into one game. At worst, maybe it was clear the weather was in Dobson's head... and experience will fix that.

We're going to see Dobson and Ridley again before the end of the year. Don't read too much into it.

The plan may have called for a change, and I am sure we will see Dobson and Ridley again. I feel Thompkins is a more sure handed receiver, he always seems to catch the ball with his hand. Dobson seems to want to body catch every ball, which leads to bobbles and drops. The weather may have been a factor.

I guess I just need to stop expecting greatness from this kid and accept that he is average at best. And that's okay.

He's valuable at this point for his speed.

I agree 100% he has raw speed and the ability to get behind defenders. I just think he is still quite raw and needs a lot of work. His hands IMO are iffy.

He's the best receiver on this team. No need to read into one game when the gameplan didn't heavily utilize him.

I think he has played very well the last few games. He's running well, making great catches and Brady has trusted him. I don't know what happen against the Broncos but I'm sure we'll see plenty of him against Houston, in a dome.

Chris Carter needed to get intimate with a juggs machine too.

his strength was almost completely neutralized by the weather while he can run the short routes too hes a much better deep threat but the wind played havoc on any pass longer ten or so yards. even when they were going into the wind. that i think had more to do with him not play over something else

True and that is exactly what Dobson needs and coaching. His natural tendancy is still to catch with the body and not the hands. I don't know if he's scared or what but that will need to be coached out of him, body catches are what cause bobbles. The juggs will damn sure help him become more comfortable with using his hands. Still has huge upside but at this point I am not terribly impressed.

What has he shown to be the best WR on the team?

I personally haven't been a big fan of Dobson so far. He has some skills and could pan out, but he hasn't shown much to me yet.

He is bigger, stronger, faster, and has better hands. The chemistry with Brady isn't there yet as it is common knowledge that that takes time to develop, but he is better than any other WR on the team with every measurable part of his skill set.

He may have the potential to be the best, but Edellman gets my vote right now.

Seriously dependable.

And Thomkins has better hands right now. And when healthy Amendola is better IMO. Dobson is all about potential, if he develops then he could be a flat out stud.

Edelman did this last year, too, despite having to compete with a much better cast of receivers, til he got hurt. He is a seriously good WR, as I've been saying all along.
