What are they trying to accomplish? I mean technically, skills competitions are fun to watch. So in the absense of a "STOP DECIDING GAMES WITH THEM" option, I might have just said that. Stupid half arsed poll.

But since skills competitions are so fun, why not switch it up? Say a game ends in a tie, the cpatains meet at center ice where a uniformed official from the league comes out with two envelopes. The home captain gets to call a coin flip and if he wins he picks one, if he loses - visiting captain picks. In the envelope is the name of a pond hockey or skills competition game. 3 bar. Horse. Hardest shot. Fastest skater. Puck control relay. Keep away.

The results of that game decide the outcome. Just think of the excitement factor! You are tied with Boston after OT. You pick. FUCK! It's hardest shot! We're screwed!
