A little History

does anyone remember who was suppose to be the 1st Jeff Gordon type driver (super young guy that was suppose to become all that & a bag of chips) ?

I am not talking about Davey Allison.

A name not much known (not a famous name) except those that followed racing deeply back then.

I thought of Tim Richmond, but figured he was too well known to be it.

Rob Moroso. Had money backing him as a 20 year old. Which isn't uncommon in todays Nascar but back then.....

He died right after his 22nd birthday after a car accident while being drunk. So we will never know if he would have been the 1st Jeff Gordon or a Paul Menard.
