Yeah honestly right now just really gotta replace Shafer once Arcia is back.

Problem is sano is currently blocked by our clean up hitter whose kinda turned a corner in plouffe.

We've got a log jam in the middle infield and outfield. It's a good problem though because Molitor can keep riding the hot hands so the O doesn't go in long funks(outside the early April debacle).

Smitty, did Ausmus look lost to you last night when he went out to check on Price after he stepped on the bat ? Price had thrown 103 pitches, given up 5 runs and was limping around after stepping on a bat. He stood there forever like he was waiting for someone else to tell him what to do. Now I was a bit high so maybe it just seemed like forever, but he didn't exactly take charge of the situation. What was to assess ? His ace tweaked his ankle, was over 100 pitches and wasn't exactly lights out anyway. You just pull him. What was with all of the dicking around ? Given Price's ankle the umps would have given whomever he brought in as long as he needed to get ready ? The guy always seems like a deer in the headlights to me.

Yep, I was thinking the same thing. (I'd only started watching a few minutes before.). There wasn't much to ponder there. Just take him out. Like you said, the reliever has as much time as he needs in that situation.

I was huge on the Ausmus signing and loved the way we started off last year. Small ball aggressiveness was great. But he's given me little to build on in nearly a year.
