I just want you to admit one thing for me bumsy... because its so painfully obvious... If the business you owned was so great.. why did the guy that bought it remodel the entire place and change the name? If a restaurant is successful the last thing you do is change the name... You only do that when you want to start from scratch because the previous name is not worth anything.

since you need everything explained to you and like ANY of this matters at ALL...

We bought it after it had been run into the ground by a Viatnameze lady, the rep was HORRIBLE. We reworked it and tripled the sales in 2 years. All the work in trying to revive a dead "name" was more than my partners wife wanted in for. We sold it. The new owner had issues with Corporate (it was my first experience with a franchise as well-it definitely is easier on your own) plus he has a very semi successful band and he just wanted a place to practice and something for his wife to do. He just didn't want to pay royalties anymore and came up with his own stuff.

I know the truth really doesn't matter to you at all, but you asked for it.

I can't wait to hear Douggies prediction of when the Tigers will clinch the division when I got them finishing 3rd at best in the division baring some crazy trades or signings.

We got it worse cuz we actually have been close, i'd love to see the Lions actually be relevant again but I think it's gonna be a while.

Nah... in the NFL you can be out of the playoffs to contender fairly fast. This new GM has a pedigree.. hopefully he drafts well and gets the Lions some depth.. Talent is the Lions problem.. this year their weak point was depth on the o line and d line. I am not suggesting they are going to win it all.. because I doubt it will ever happen as a beaten down fan... but the NFL is probably the easiest league to go from a last place finish to first. Look at teams like Carolina and Washington.

If you have a decent defense and a QB.. you can win a lot of games... and the Lions have both of those. Heck.. they were just a blown call away from winning a playoff game last year in Dallas... and two blown calls this year away from returning to the playoffs...

I don't know how comfortable I feel about the Tigers chances to win the division this year.. but they will be better than 3rd baring more major injuries. I think the Indians are going to win it this year.

Tigers
Twins
White Sox
Royals

Laugh about me picking the Royals last.. but I honestly think this is going to be the year their shit rotation catches up to them... their bullpen is no where near as strong as it was last year... and the rotation has nobody that is a lock to throw 200 innings... not a good mix.

You also have to keep in mind that every team in the division has the ability to make in season trades more so than the Royals too.. who just traded a ton of talent away last year at the deadline... and are already at a record payroll for them...
