Just got done watching the game. That catch in the endzone by Green was absolutely fucking ridiculous.

Notwithstanding the OP's obvious bias, AJ Green is a beast, and will prove to be the best receiver in Bengals' history if we can keep him around......I have never seen a rookie with his propensity to get wide open since Randy Moss.....and that touchdown catch yesterday......wow.....

That TD catch was ridiculous. There is not many guys in the league that could have made that catch and dotted the "i" on the sideline at that speed and lack of depth. The announcers kepts saying, I am not sure he got his toe down, how can they live with that decision? It looked pretty damn good to me. His toe came down, teh officials where both right there, and teh replay didn't disprove it, as his toe looked like it was in to me. Damn close to that line, but in none the less.

The fact that he made it so close that they couldn't overturn it is a testament to how great of a play he made.

I guess the O.P. was right.

I feel so disappointed that I didn't impart my wisdom on this subject in this thread. Coulda been a real gem.

Andre Johnson had almost 1600 yds last yr as a 31 yr old.

He averages 110 catches, 1550 yds, and 7 tds per season the last three seasons where he played in all 16 games.

not sure I'd rate AJ above him career-wise yet.

He does have the potential to pass him though.

A.J. Green is better than Johnson. It's really that simple to me.

They bring different things to the table. AJ is better at getting open and has a bigger catch radius. Much more athletic.

Andre is all around more well rounded. There isn't a route that he can't or doesn't run.

Would I trade AJ straight up for Andre? No. Barring injuries and age, would a Houston fan trade Andre straight up for AJ? Probably not.

That said, Andre would be a better fit for Dalton.

Going into the 2013 season I'd take AJ Green because he's an ascending player and Andre Johnson will be 32 yrs old.

But if AJ Green has the type of career Andre Johnson has had (on an individual level) I'll be very pleased.
