A friend of mine gave me some homebrew...tasty, but gave me horrific gas

I had 2 last night, and woke myself up with huge farts (5 seconds) like never before, and then had more for the first few hours after I woke up. I almost made myself throw up, and I've never done that before.

Does that ever go away? I have 6 more to drink, but I don't know if it's worth it.

I don't like beer at all.. I have never been a beer drinker etc... but the other night I had an Angry Orchard Apple ALE and drank like 6 of them.. it was AWESOME

Beano for the gas.. it must have a high fibre content.. the other part about throwin up.. maybe you are allergic to something..

ktg8, i'm pretty sure that i'm speaking english. i didn't say anything that wasn't true, and i'm not exaggerating.

anyhoo, i had read somewhere that the effect sometimes wears off the more you drink homebrew, and was looking to see if that was true from people who homebrew or drink it a lot

It may be overcarbonated?? At any rate..that does suck. Especially if it is the painful burning farts..and not the fun ones.

Not painful at all.

The beer is delicious though, and not overly carbonated at all, and I want to drink it.

I think I'll just go ahead and give it a try over the 4th of July weekend, and hope that the gaseous effect was an anomaly.
