Looking at things from the past is fine. That is how you learn from your mistakes and get better. If you just forget about them and move forward then you will repeat those same mistakes.

I certainly post my fair share of thoughts and opinions. Many of them are deemed negative by some here. But it just can't be all "mad dog" and hell fire and brimstone all the time.

There are distinct patterns in the program (in every facet of the game) showing that the staff has a difficult time putting the pieces together. There is nothing to show beyond a shadow of a doubt that those pieces will magically be put together in season 7. As a matter of fact it is more likely they won't be.

That the offense will suddenly execute is nothing more than hope. There is nothing that guarantees Tommy will improve. Stanton and Darlington are unknowns that have never even taken a college snap.

There is nothing to guarantee the defense will begin to execute before midway into the season at best.

Other than demeanor I wouldn't know whether this program was being run by Pelini or Neuheisal.

We should be better the next two season just by looking at that easy schedule.

It all depends if we decide to shoot our opponents instead of ourselves. defense wise bo teams are always slow out the gate even the 09 defense. offense beck needs to simplify and let his play makers do the work not put it all on AA or the qb.

As far away from being a top 15 team as Nebraska has looked simple changes could easily put us in the top 15.

I'm not sure what Fresno has coming back, but I assume they'll still be at least halfway decent and we play them on their home turf. Miami won't be a pushover either. Michigan State, Wiscy, and Iowa will be played on their home turf, and I can guarantee you those will be very tough games. Let us not forget about Northwestern either, which will be played in Evanston. Nebraska's schedule in 2014 won't be that easy in my opinion, but I'm going to be positive and say we'll have a 9-3 record, instead of my original prediction of a 5 loss season.


You are exactly right about simple changes making a huge difference in where Nebraska ends up in the polls.

Hey wait a minute! First of all, Mad Dog should be with capital letters because it's now a pronoun. Secondly, not all of my posts have been about Bo and his coaching inabilities!

Yeah... Iowa is not going to be better next year, we are. Iowa beat us with our third string walk on QB in the game.. how do you think Iowa fairs under similar circumstances?

Iowa may not be better than us in 2014, but they'll be at least as good. Don't forget about the blowout in Lincoln by them, I know I won't! Actually, unless Iowa just implodes or has some injury problems to some key players, they'll be better than Nebraska in 2014.
