And guys, you can't put tHis on the bats. They had the lead going into the bottom of the 9th against Clayton fucking Kershaw.

This is the worst case if team-yips I have ever seen. I can't even imagine a worse case.
We need more Ty Blach, Mark Reynolds, Joe Nathan, etc. Heck, call up Clayton Blackburn, Chris Stratton, Joan Gregorio. Activate Chris Heston! Call up Kyle Crick even! How could any of them be worse? Bochy needs to shake it up badly in that bullpen. Everyone who's failed this past week needs to be in the doghouse. Banished to blowouts.

Puig is a fuckhead, no doubt.

The Dodgers will likely shit the bed in the playoffs per usual, take solace in that.
MLB playoffs are always a bigger crapshoot than the other sports. Having a lockdown 'pen was the Gs key.for those five years.

First game of a series. (Loss - check)

Only one walk. (Loss - check)

Brilliant pitching by the starter (Loss - check)

Total freaking implosion by our bullpen. (Loss - check)

Complete and total slumber by our "hitters" (Loss - check)

Can this season get any worse? Any worse?!?
Points two and four should be a given. Major props to Kershaw. He makes everyone look like the Giants' lineup.

Fellas, welcome to history. This one of, if not the, biggest choke-jobs in MLB history.

Absolutely unexplainable.

Giants haven't had a comeback win in the 8th or 9th all season. Zero for the blasted season. Epic ineptitude.
I wonder if any team that has ever made the playoffs had that kind of ineptitude at the end of games? You're talking monumental, go down in the history books ineptitude. Oh, and the epic slide in the second half. That crap will stick for a while.

The most recent Giants teams have been winning these types of games. It's September baseball, Kershaw-Bum. Completly expected this game. Can't blame the hitting.

This bullpen just has something stuck in their head's about the 9th inning. You can't explain it, but it's just not working this year. They really need the offseason.

And where is McParker? Why have the most power on the team collect ass-splinters when the rest of the team is batting on the interstate?

If we had solid guys having decent-to-solid years, but just slumping, I would almost be OK with the strategy being used. But EVERY hitter is having a down year. Only Craw and Posey should have their jobs guaranteed right now. KT should be breathing down Paniks neck. McParker should be pressing EVERYONE in the OF.

Giants now in a 4 way tie for 10th best record in baseball. A few more losses and we may get a protected pick in the 2017 draft. Only 9 games up on Milwaukee, who is in line for the 10th pick.

But they will probably be lucky to have one of them make the team next year because some weak outfielder (or two) will be signed in the offseason, cause veterans.

That won't happen, but that is were my rooting interest is now. I don't want to make the playoffs. If we are in the playoffs, it makes it that much easier for the dogs to get to the Series, and that is a must-avoid at all costs.

Belt is not having a down year.

The team will rattle off a few wins in the final week, after official elimination, and land in the 15th or 16th pick of the draft, only to squander it on some mediocre relief pitcher or outfielder in the offseason.

Gorkys probably makes the team, but he will be taking Blancos spot. They still need to fill Pagan's spot, and if they don't go big (Bruce, Cespedes, Batista, etc), I don't see a FA signing (and I don't want any of the guys I mentioned).

If they don't trade for a bat, than it will be an open competition between Span, Gorkys, McParker and Slater for left and center.

Maybe Noggin should do tomorrow's lineup based on OPS. Just rank them 1-8 and see what happens.

What the hell has happened to our team?
We all knew the 'pen was a question mark in Feb/Mar. TPTB pushed some buttons and hoped young guys could step up and make meaningful contributions. I hindsight those young guys weren't good enough. Strick didn't continue to improve Law turned out nice but he can't do it by himself.
