Bailey is telling Beck Not to worry about the runs he is giving up right now. He just got word from the hitting coaches that the hitters have been told to swing for the fences, so we should see a bunch of HRs from here on out.

I agree that it was confusing. I expected that team to collapse throughout the year. They didn't . . . until they played the Dodgers in the playoffs. When I finally decided not to understand, it was enjoyable.
That series was not a collapse, though. That was arguably the greatest post-season series in the history of the game. We just ended up on the wrong end of it.

For a team that probably won 20 more games than they should, it feels like a collapse. They should have won more games than they should. Wait . . .

Tough to see Beck get smacked around. He's been so good this season. Now he is treated like the mop up innings eater for blowouts.

He isn’t getting beat up, though. These are all seeing-eye, dinks and doinks.

The Rays are a really talented team that is well managed. They seem to overperform their expectations.

The Giants right now are not talented, not well managed, and underperforming expectations. Pretty sad to watch. And there seems no way out of this prolonged slump that they are in.

Leading 6-1 in the top of the 8th against the junior Giants, The Rays challenged a close call at 1b?!? I would hope the baseball deities may have something to say about that, but not in this game.

The Rays go on to score two more, and then two more in the 9th.

Giants lose 10-2 and it wasn't that close. :L

Even the vaunted bullpen looks bad recently. Definitely not a fun team to watch right now.

Still on pace to go 86-76 this year.
