if the PGA was an indication, Phil's game is not close to Tiger's. Wouldn't pay to watch it.

I’d turn the channel to it from time to time but to pay for it? That’s a joke. There is going to be so much down time with just 2 guys on the course and who pays to watch golf?

I ordered the golf channel, but canceled it within a couple of weeks. Wasn't worth the money.

PPV for an exhibition match? I was going to watch, but screw that. They must be joking. I thought it might be fun to see how they act with each other and the crowd as they compete. I guess I'll have to read about it. But it's not as if either of them is Lee Trevino when it comes to that sort of thing, so I doubt I'll miss much.

Making this PPV is a huge mistake that I think the powers that be will correct as the date gets closer. Plus they should have made it just one million dollars, but their own money. Make the loser hand a briefcase of the money in cash to the winner.

Listening to Stugotz on sports radio this morning...he had a good idea. Every Thanksgiving golf should have a grudge match televised. Next year could be Tiger/Phil Versus DJ/Koepka or Spieth/Justin Thomas.....something besides NFL for the Thanksgiving holiday.

I’m surprised turner thinks it will
Make more money selling this as a ppv instead of putting it on a turner network and selling commercial time. There is going to be a shitload of down time

That was first reaction as well. I wouldn't watch this at gunpoint.

So it appears that this should cost around $40. I am kind of the same opinion as others here that this shouldn't be on PPV. This is also on the Fri after Thanksgiving which is typically a time when folks stay at home & watch other sports. It this were say being shown at a bar with either no cover or a small cover I might consider it.

Also note that HBO will having one of those 24/7 series for this event (similar to what they do for the big boxing matches). That should be fun to watch & might spark a little more interest. However - they may just be getting a bit too greedy for this one.

This is about 5 yrs too late...interesting they would attempt a PPV with this (guess no network would touch it?)....the purse sounds really high, but @ about $60 a head they only need a couple hundred thousand people to belly up to this.

I won't be one of them.

I had very little interest in watching this before I heard it would be a PPV event yesterday and now I have zero interest.

I agree that for these two guys the match is 5 years too late and it might be a bit more interesting if they were putting up their own money, winner take all.

Making it PPV was a huge mistake. Anything over $30.00 , the sales will be a complete embarrassment to all involved.

Real risky putting Tigers popularity to a real test.
