Samardzija has pitched well in general over the last month. Looks like he's doing a better job of mixing up his pitches.

He's been like this most of his career -- 8 good outings, 8 bad outings, etc.

But this last string of good games has been vital for a team where, in the same stretch, the number 1 and number 2 guys have pitched closer to number 4 results.

yup. If he can give us another 4 solid outings in Sep, we've got a shot if Bum and JC get back to form.

He's obviously done something different because he isn't serving up HR Derby anymore.

So he had 7 innings 2 ER and 9 Ks. Relatively speaking, that's a great game.


edit---somebody got to him and had him adjust something in his pitching motion, I just wish they had done this a lot sooner!!!
