On a different note, I'm surprised the Giants didn't bring up anyone else today. No Stratton, no Blackburn. No 3rd catcher. The hitting is slumping badly and the only reinforcements are Kelby Tomlinson and Mac Williamson. I would think that someone else would have been brought up.

Maybe KT can provide some, um, excitement to the lineup like he did last year. It's odd that no one has stepped up and carried the team for a spell or had a blistering hot streak with the bat.

Great game pitched by Samardzija. He's been the ace of this club in the midst of the slide (which is one reason for the slide, he's the number 3 guy in the rotation). Too bad the club is going to spoil another good start from him.
