If you're referring to losing a draft pick, no team actually loses a 1st rounder anymore, no matter if you're picking in the top-10 or not.

This is 3rd year (??) under the new CBA. Teams can lose lower picks (3rd - 5th, if I am not mistaken) depending on their CBT status, but 1st rounders are safe now.

Thanks. I had no idea I was living 3 years in the past. I'm sure that topic has come up on this forum before. I must be losing my memory. Now, what were we talking about again? Oh yeah, if the Giants can secure a top 10 pick, we won't lose that pick through free agency.

This will actually be the second year. They signed the agreement in 2016, but the major changes went into effect first in 2017.
